Fairness

How IKOT keeps rotation fair

One line for every court, the longest wait goes first, rest between games and no player left waiting round after round.

  1. One line for every court

Every checked-in player waits in one shared line. Each free court takes the first game that fits it, so a Singles court never starts a separate queue.

  2. The longest wait goes first

IKOT moves up the players who have waited longest and sat out the most rounds, and helps players who missed games while here catch up. A late arrival joins the end of the line, never ahead of players who came first.

  3. Rest between games

By default a player plays at most two games in a row, then sits out so someone else can play. Change Rest preference and Maximum consecutive games under Advanced.

  4. Close skill, never stranded

With Skill grouping on Auto, IKOT groups players at close Play Levels. When a player keeps waiting, it widens their game rather than leave them out.

  5. No one waits round after round

A player who sits out three rounds they could have played is protected. They go into the next game that can include them, even when another game looks closer.

Questions

Will IKOT change a game that is already on court?

No. Games on court and games you locked stay as you set them. IKOT plans the next games around them.

Can I keep two players together?

Yes. Open a waiting player in the Roster, choose Lock relationship…, then Lock as teammate or Lock as opponent. The lock stays until you unlock it.

Can I change who plays next?

Yes. Tap a player in a court or Up Next game to replace them with a waiting player. IKOT still counts everyone's games.

What if my group needs a tighter skill range?

Set Skill grouping to Strict and choose a spread limit. Strict never widens on its own, so some players may wait longer.
